INTERNSHIPS

To give you hands-on, one-the-job training, you will be required to complete three 75-hour PAID internships with nonprofit agencies.  Typically, one internship is completed in the third quarter and two in the fourth quarter.  You can complete more than one in the third quarter, but one is the minimum.  You don't have to do the internship with another agency if you're salaried by a nonprofit agency that will allow you to put in 225 paid hours to work on grants and fundraising projects.  These 225 hours are very structured, though.  You have clearly defined learning objectives and performance outcomes, and you're supervised by me.

Intern Salary = $3,000 ($1,000 per internship minimum ... or $13.33/hour)

With three 75-hour paid internships, you earn more than the cost of tuition!

Together, interns, mentor and agency supervisor determine specific areas of focus, learning objectives and performance outcomes.
